DI (Deionization) Pure Water Systems
DI systems are the simplest and most affordable way to produce pure water for waterfed window cleaning. Using ion exchange resin, a DI tank removes the dissolved minerals that cause spotting and streaks — delivering water that reads 0 TDS (total dissolved solids) at the brush. No electricity required, no complicated setup: connect your garden hose, run it through the tank, and you’re producing pure water.
How DI Works
Tap water passes through a tank filled with mixed-bed resin that exchanges calcium, magnesium, and other mineral ions for hydrogen and hydroxyl ions — which combine to form pure water. When the resin is exhausted (TDS creeps back up), it can be recharged or replaced.

DI vs. RO/DI
